The archaeological research performed here unveiled historical remains dating from the first Iron Age and it consists of several pits out of which some served to store food supplies and were later filled with domestic waste.
The initially unknown site contributes in a certain extent to a better knowledge of the Basarabi habitation in the area of the Sub-Carpathian Oltenia.
Based on the few typical archaeological materials, the community was connected to other contemporary political and military centres, especially from Banat and Muntenia.
For the iron piece found, in the lack of clear analogies that would coincide with the surrounding strata ceramic dating, we must admit a later chronology, Dacian age.
